Charity Benefit Auctions

Michael Hanley:

Mike Hanley is Married to Sherri Ramstedt Hanley and together they own SR Custom Events & Auctions. , an Austin-based auction company that raises $$$$ for charities acrossTexas and the Southern United States.
The auctioneer's bid calling skills are geared toward the type of sophisticated crowd that attends a large fundraising auction. He is very conscious of the need to maintain momentum during the auction.

Mike graduated from The Florida Auctioneers Academy, is a member of the National Auctioneers Association and the Texas Auctioneers Association. Mike has been a Professional Fundraiser for the Boy Scouts of America since 1989.
He has 4 great kids, Christina, Donovan, Chance and "Miracle" Michelle.

SR offers Fundraising consultant services for Auctions, Annual campaigns, Distinguished Citizenship Dinners, and other special event fundraising.

Many Organizations have a volunteer conduct their Live Auction on the night of the Gala. While this seems to be the wise decision on the surface (why pay a fee when someone will work for free?), you should exercise caution. There is skill to working a charity benefit gala.

A Successful Charity Benefit Auction requires a combination of consultant, entertainer, fund raiser, and auctioneer. It is necessary to have an auctioneer and auction team that possess the skill and professionalism required to ensure that your organization is represented in the most professional manner possible and that your charitable event is a success.

Smart organizations know that having the RIGHT auction team will pay for itself multiple times over. From recognizing and encouraging key bidders to setting the right tone for your event, the team that can be provided by Cornucopia will understand what it takes to have a successful benefit auction.

Mike is a member in good standing of:The National Auctioneer Association & The Texas Auctioneers Association
